PERSONAL PROJECTS
Outside of my paid digital media work, I’ve done plenty of practice in the field for myself. Here are a few of the ways I keep myself on the ball of the digital media landscape.
Twitch Affiliate – Video Game Streaming
What was once just a hobby has slowly morphed into a source of side income. I’ve streamed on-and-off since 2018, and in the December of 2022 I fulfilled the necessary steps to become a Twitch Affiliate, allowing me to facilitate paid user subscriptions, claim ad revenue, and accept monetary donations. Featuring commissioned assets that change depending on game or category and several features of audience interaction, my Twitch stream is my weekly multimedia project.
My primary game of choice is Super Smash Brothers Melee, though I’m slowly leaning into the “variety streamer” category. My channel can be found here.
Roller Skating Montages
In 2021 I got involved with the Austin roller skating community, and have since developed my skills as a jam skater hand have become intertwined with roller rink culture. Now that I have enough skills to really have something to show off, I’ve begun making skate videos for TikTok and Instagram, using their in-app video editors to trim together clips.
